2007 Board Strategies
1. Encourage and assist existing businesses in carrying out expansion plans that create new jobs or help them remain competitive.
2. Identify, recruit, and nurture entrepreneurs in the community.
3. Work with existing entities to identify and develop strategies to meet infrastructure needs.
4. Evaluate land/spec building needs as identified in targeted industry study.
5. Actively recruit those businesses/industries as identified in our 2003
targeted industry study, yet be prepared to react to economic development opportunities that do not fit the target business profile.
6. Support and encourage downtown development and renovation of existing buildings.
7. Continue to administrate and "grow" available incentives.
