Holdrege has a medical community large enough to care for your health needs, and small enough to care about each person.
The two clinics are
Family Medical Specialties located in the downtown area and
High Plains Clinic located in the northwest part of town. There are thirteen physicians practicing in Holdrege, with three physician assistants. These doctors specialize in family practice, sports medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine and surgery. Many other specialists hold clinics in Holdrege on a regular basis.

Phelps Memorial Health Center
Our hospital, Phelps Memorial Health Center (PMHC), is a fully-accredited 25-bed hospital. The hospital was built in 1968 and offers complete primary care medical services, including radiology, laboratory, emergency rooms, intensive care, respiratory care, home health care, physical therapy and sports medicine, swing care and more. PMHC has a fully accredited mammography department, with MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, echoes and Doppler ultrasounds and other services. The hospital has several specialists and clinics in Holdrege each week to bring more complete specialized medical care to the community, including cardiology, ENT, nephrology, pulmonology, and more.
