RELOCATE to Phelps County
Phelps County Senior Resources
Just the place to retire
People want different things when they retire. Some people - evidently - will put up with any amount of noise, confusion, traffic and congestion so long as it's mostly sunny. But we say, if Phelps County never competes seriously with Miami Beach, Las Vegas or Palm Springs, well, that's a good thing. In Phelps County, we have seasons, soup suppers and potlucks, lots of good times and more than our share of good people.
Here are a few more good reasons to retire in Phelps County.
- The cost of living is 29.97% lower than the U.S. average
- The cost of housing is much lower than in urban areas
- The crime rate is way below the national average
- There's virtually no pollution/traffic/congestion
- We have numerous welcoming churches
- Quality healthcare services are plentiful and easily accessed
- Outdoor activities - golf, hunting, fishing, bird watching - are abundant
- There are numerous resources to connect seniors and integrate them with the community
More importantly, when you become a part of one of our communities, you’ll find you make friends and acquaintances with the least little effort, and that pretty quickly they remember your name at the library, the YMCA, the bowling alley, and local restaurants. In Phelps County, you know - and care about - your neighbors.
